Just cut a pass from the Mississippi to Lake Pontchartrain upstream from NO. Build our new port there. Give the old city to the French. There, problem solved.
Not ashamed nor do I buy the "small bunch" quantity. We have heard NOTHING but a steady drum beat from the losers in NO about how it is because they are black and they are poor. Well who the F#$& made them that way. Million$ of our tax dollar$ were extorted from us to a highly vocal victim mentality based community and then like the jack ass from the United Way told us once again all the damage was done because we did not care about the black and poor.
Well they pushed me over the edge and I gave my own dollars to Mississippi. They suffered just as much as the whiners in NO but for the most part were grateful for help and wanted to help themselves. Those are true Americans not the diversity crazed handout seekers in NO.
btt
"Since the federal government isn't taking care of us..."
It's all there in that statement..."
The residents' unwillingness to take the initiative and responsibility for rebuilding; and of course, the Marxist (and childish) BLAMES for the Dubya administration.
When Louisiana Senator Mary Landrieu threatened the president Bush with physical violence (and there was not a thunderous outcry from New Orleans residents) I chose not to further support any relief efforts.
.
Now there is a worth while use of tax dollars. Heck, I would even make a private contribution if there was a reliable place to send the $ to git'er done.
We should offer them some California wine to go along with NOLA.
I have to agree...
And having spent the last weekend in NO, I can say most of them DO NOT understand that much of the apathy toward thier plight was caused by false media portrayals, and Libs/Dems looking to blame everything on BUSH...
People just aren't listening anymore, because they learn that everything the Media/Libs/Dems told them in the first days SIMPLY WASN'T true...
As a side note: Beyond the lack of leaves and trees, the slum areas of New Orleans don't look much worse than they did BEFORE the storm!
Sure. And then Chirac will send all those disaffected, rioting Muslim "youths" and kill two birds with one stone: removing an imminent threat from his own backyard and further thumbing his nose at the US.
I hope all those idots inn New Orleans who didn;t have the sense to flee froma killer 'cane that everyone in the nation watched cross the Atlantic on TV 24/7 will enjoy themselves under French rule.
After all, how much difference is there between a country where people die because the "government didn't make an effort" to pick up and move every able body, and one where people die in holocaust-like numbers because they lack air conditioning in the summer heat? (/sarcasm)
My opinion? Forget rebuilding New Orleans, let it be reclaimed by the swamps, and use the money to make sure our troops overseas have what they need to kick ass and take names.
lol.. they knew they had a good deal when they sold it off...
I'm sure the 'Krewe' haven't thought that through...
Did they once own him, and why would they want him back?
Buy the writer of this headline a comma.
Mebbe not - Saddam owns Chirac at the moment, and he may be in the mood for a sale. Have you checked ebay?
Yeah - I used to be proud of American Spirit.
Now there is a worth while use of tax dollars. Heck, I would even make a private contribution if there was a reliable place to send the $ to git'er done.
Just buy us back, Jacques
Make a new plan, Stan
You don't need to be coy, Roy
Just listen to me
Hop on the bus, Gus
You don't need to discuss much
Just drop off the key, Lee
And get yourself free
"Since the federal government isn't taking care of us
---LOL
"handling of the worst natural disaster in US history."
Amazing how the MSM can fabricate "facts".
What a joke.
Why don't these imbeciles just do the simplest thing and buy a one-way plane ticket to France? No one's stopping them.
Did they once own him, and why would they want him back?
Looks like a case of Brokeback Chirac.
1993 Mississippi River Flood
Mt. St. Helens
Great Earthquake of 1906
Just to name three.
