Could you please souce this. I have never heard that and am interested in reading about it. I do know that Greenland is said to have been much warmer in the time of Leif Erickson.

The Chinese fleet have never sailed around Greenland. Leiv Eriksson lived around 1000 years ago.

The book is called "1421" by Gavin Menzies...the argument is fascinating -- draws upon multiple oddities in the historical record. Perhaps over-reaching in some ways, but certainly interesting reading.

The book is titled 1421 and the author is Gavin Menves. He has a web site which a quick reference to Google will bring up. The book is most interesting.
