Miers wasn't qualified - thats why she withdrew.

Coulter should be thanked for opposing Miers, along with Laura Ingraham and Robert Bork.

Sorry she didn't express her opposition in the way you prefer. But she was right.

You seem to place feelings over judgment.

I've said repeatedly that I am not at all talking about Coulter's opinion that Miers wasn't qualified. (I really wish you folks would read more carefully instead of engaging in knee jerk reactions to what you THINK is being said).

I said, and I will say again, that Ann Coulter diminished her stature as a serious conservative spokesman because of HER feelings about Miers. If she had been rational and stated her objections thoughtfully and forcefully (that part she usually does well), it would not have changed my opinion of her.

It was her indecent and wrongful attack on Harriet Miers as a person that caused me to lose respect for her. And I doubt it will ever be regained because of the seriousness of her indecency and nastiness.

Charles Krauthammer shared her opinion, but used logic and facts to back up his opinion. Ann went off the deep end of emotional vitriol.

Repeating.....they had the SAME opinion. One voiced it as an intelligent conservative. One voiced it as someone out of control, craving attention. That's not the kind of person I want speaking for me as a conservative.

Histrionics and hatred can be found in abundance on the left. I don't want them coming from someone who claims to be speaking for me.
