Hey I love Ann (not just for her ideas!), but didn't she come out against Roberts? Did/has she reconsidered her original opposition? She said that his secret service code name was "tabala rasa" (that's blank slate for those of you in Rio Linda) and then went on to say that we might have gotten a great conservative in Roberts, too soon to be sure, pretty much by accident (not an exact quote, but close).

Nice rack for a thin woman....

"Coulter DID oppose John Roberts." She opposed Roberts on the premise that there were more qualified and known candidates available.
Her suspicions and reticence were even more justified when the under-whelming Harriet Miers was chosen next on the basis of the President's given credentials of "just trust me."

Coulter puts a lot of posters at this site in siezures. Generaly it's the same group that believes that Harriet Miers would make a swell SCOTUS justice and that McCain should be the next POTUS.

*PING! There was a paragraph not included...let me post it here...
Coulter closed by reminding Republicans what the GOP really stands for:
Were the party that defends human life in all its forms, she said. So dont believe it when the same Washington weenies who gave us Harriet Miers, who ran like little girls from the Federalists Society, and who continually associate with Bill Clinton, come to you and say, Weve got to run a pro-choice Republican if were going to be Hillary. Thats not our party.
Hmm...sounds like she was addressing the "Cult of Bush" types here, with their sycophantic demands that all vote for a letter after the name rather than the Character and Values of the Cnadidate!

Crawford?
That coward is hiding under her bed.

There were some conservatives present-I read elsewhere- who thought she gave conservatism a bad name.

She thought he'd be a pig in a poke. But they all are, to some extent. Washington gets to most of them and pulls them to the left. Ultimately, like school children, they feel hurt when they don't get invited to the dinner parties.

Actually, I don't think geocities allows hotlinking. Your browser is probably just loading the image from your cache.
Glad I could help. Quite a few Freepers use Tinypic.

Coulter DID oppose John Roberts"Maybe Roberts will contravene the sordid history of 'stealth nominees' and be the Scalia or Thomas that Bush promised us when he was asking for our votes. Or maybe he won't. The Supreme Court shouldn't be a game of Russian roulette." Ann Coulter
It was fair commentary when she made it.

And YOU, sinky, supported that vapid functionary Harriet Meiers, and were SURE that she would be confirmed. WRONG and WRONG.
Have a nice day.
