The Bushman is telling the truth. Abramoff is just one of many that the Bushman HAD to meet.

Have any of these polls ever been changed by being FReeped?

Turned down invitation to Bushs ranch Abramoff said he did not make the trip because as an Orthodox Jew he cannot travel on Saturdays. Selective morality.

He probably is telling the truth. He raised a bunch of money, and got to meet the politician he raised it for. That's how it works in Washington.

Presidents meet colossal numbers of people in reception lines, etc., and often have no idea who they are and didn't catch (much less remember) their names. I suspect Abramoff had such a passing encounter with President Bush, and found the moment much more thrilling, significant, and memorable than the President did.

Abramoff 81%. typical liberal poll.

I once met and joked with Don King. Doesn't mean I've ever been in the ring.

Who do you believe is telling the truth? By the body language of the spinless pubbies you would say it ain't Bush. BTW isn't it about time for the Impeached One to be off shak'in hands with GW? This administration can spot an enemy all the way on the other side of the planewt but apparently can't find any 3 miles down the street in DC.

The poll should read:
Assuming you believe MSNBC would report the truth if it had it, who do you believe is telling the truth?
0 - Bush
0 - Abramoff
To: Gordongekko909
I met Bush. He acutally called me "Buddy."
So, me and W are buddies. I would pass a lie detector test. W would not remember me.

Hey, my brother met George Bush. They exchanged pleasantries and joked. As good a guy as my brother is, I can guarantee George Bush doesn't remember him. But for my brother, the meeting was memorable. He said in 30 seconds Bush made him feel like he had known my brother all his life. That is just normal for a President. They meet a gzillion people and they have the warm personality that makes the meeting one that an individual never forgets.

"Hi there, Jack-a-jew! Good job raising that money for me, we've got to have your better half, ha, ha, and those lovely kids of yours, you have kids don't you, over to the ranch sometime , ha ha". Abramoff was a "pioneer", a person who talked people into giving over $100,000 to the President's reelection campaign. For that, he was likely invited to the Pioneer event at the ranch (which Abramoff says he didn't attend). I also imagine that since he was welcome with many congresspeople, he probably spent time at the white house as well, and it is likely he was given many "shake-bys" by the president, who I'm certain was given appropriate 'small talk' for the occassions. I remember that being a funny thing on "West Wing", when the president would be meeting someone he couldn't even identify, but when they did the pictures he was like they were best friends. This is so typical though of the media and democrats, because we are arguing over whether or not Bush might have known the man -- when in fact WHO CARES, it's not a crime to know Jack. It's not a crime to meet him, or to listen to him, OR to take money from people who were asked to give money by him, or even to take money from him, or from his lobbying agency. But now it's like Bush is evil because he may have met Jack. I'm reminded of a great scene in the movie "Patriot Games", where the President and his staff are dicussing how to handle the fact that a old friend was found dead and found with drug money. Everbody was saying how he had to distance himself, and Jack told him he should not deny anything. Instead, he should say they were friends, and if asked "freinds?" he should say "close friends" -- so they don't have anywhere to go with the story. If Bush had come out and said "Jack found people to give me money, and I appreciated his hard work, and have met with him on many occasions in that regard", the media wouldn't have had much reason to "dig up proof" that he met Jack.

hey Abe, I guess you aren't as memorable as you though you were.
