I think it shows us the true face of Islam! Exactly.and that true face consists of numerous members of a cult whose basic attitudes are stuck firmly, and proudly,in the 9th Century.

What is frightening - this is a 7th century culture with 21st century arms.

1)We already knew that many Muslims would react this way, just as we know that if we drag a stick across the bars of a tiger's cage we will anger it.
2)We are witnessing an uneducated mass being manipulated for political ends by some Muslim leaders.
3)What purpose is served by fomenting a radicalization of Muslims, rather than build on the commonalities with those who seek civility?
4)Why will we side with libertine Europeans in their puerile sticking tongue out and hiding behind "freedom of expression"?
5)Why don't we act like grownups and resist the mocking of another's beliefs? Politics is always lampoonable, but not religion. If we wish to challenge religious beliefs, let us do it in charity and reasoned discourse. I'm Catholic, so I understand the centuries' long conflict with the heresy of Islam.

A lot of people, a growing number every day, also think so.
