What role did these groups play in the WWII Holocaust? Did they turn more Jews over to the Nazis than the French, Ukranians, Austrians, Italians, etc?
They butchered hundredsof thousands of Jews, Serbs and Gypsies..
during the second world war,most islamic countries were colonized or under protectorate regimes. Morocco, for example, was under the French Protectorate who at the time was the Petain (Nazi puppet regime) in France since France had been invaded by the Nazis. The ruler at the time,Sultan Mohamed V, was asked by the French under Petain to hand over the Moroccan Jews to the Nazis..His answer was NO, they are Moroccan regardless of their faith just as Moroccan Muslims and therefore enjoy the same protection and citizenship.
When the Sultan died, Jews as well as Muslims in this country mourned him.
This is what is glossed over by biased media and in most Western schools. No wonder so many are in fact ignorant about the Middle East & Islamic world and its history
lesson: there are more decent people out there than media sensationalism would dare to have you believe.
PS: on another note: while I was at school and we studied world religions the interesting thing was that we spent about 98% of the time studying Christianity, Judaism, and Buddhism, and about 3 days studying Islam and the Islamic Empire..strange, isn´t it?
It's probably unfair to blame the Poles too, since 2.5 million non-Jewish Poles died at the hands of the Nazis.
