I hope the next Republican President is a more tough minded individual than George W. Bush.

It takes a lot more guts to deal with those who hate you on a day to day basis because you realize you are President for all of America than to take revenge on your critics because you have a position of power.

Bush is stronger and has more class that anyone else who attended the funeral (except maybe for his wife), and the whole nation saw it.

I did not say revenge, although that was not beneath many Presidents: Nixon and Clinton, to name two examples. Rather, what needs to be done is to deny any claim to legitimacy on the part of liberal institutions. Al Qaida and similar groups use guns and bombs, the Left uses the pen and the keyboard, but both are equally hostile to America and its values. Within the limits of the law, the Left should be treated as the domestic enemy, not as people with whom we share some common values.
