IMHO most people have the wrong perspective on the grumbling and snide remarks toward "W" at the King funeral.

Mrs. King was a harsh critic of the Bush Administration, nearly all the people present were harsh critics of the Bush administration.

IMHO, Bush "Bearded the lions in their den" and came out with barely a few growls from them.

Instead of concentrating on their bad taste we should appreciate Bush's classy behavior.

Bush would have been bashed by the Left irrespective of whether he appeared at Coretta Scott King's funeral or not. There was no reason, other than his old line, country club instincts, for him to have subjected himself and his wife to the humiliation.

I hope the next Republican President is a more tough minded individual than George W. Bush. The next GOP President should not even let the liberal media onto the White House grounds. He should also end the circus side shows where the President appears at banquets with left wing artists, actors, writers, scholars, etc. There is no need for President Bush to stand in a photo next to, say, Robert Redford or Oprah Winfrey.

Unless we have leadership that will ignore and cut off the iron triangle of media, academia, and entertainment from Federal funding and access to prestige, conservatism and traditional values will probably never get the upper hand. Enough self-sacrifice and self-effacing; it is time to treat the enemy within as we treat the enemy overseas.
