agreed, russian combat aircraft are quite excellent. but of what use are three of a type to anyone? these have to be demonstrator models, to see if iran likes them. then iran will buy many more. frogfoot is a groud attack platform, not much threat to our inventory.

I wonder why Pentagon selected A-10 Thunderbolt II instead of Northrop YA-9. If the USSR version of A-9 could fly off the aircraft carrier, then it sounds like A-9 could have done so too. It would be interesting to have a ground support A-9 scrambling from an aircraft, assisting to ground force to make a touch down on the beach.

Can it carry nukes? I mean, you would'nt buy an entire air group of 48 planes if you are only thinking about delivering one or two very important packages...
