I have been to Nashville and was not impressed. Some of those shops are just trashy.

Well, here's a photo of the NEWLY REFURBISHED movie theater in Nashville, IL. Pretty funny. Maybe they want the whole town to look this run-down. Keep the riff-raff out:

You will get no argument from me on that one. Just another tourist trap.

Some of the trashiest looking shops are the oldest and most authentic. Every kitsch experience is not going to be encountered in fresh cut timber painted with bright acrylics.

BTW, the California equivalent, Julian, almost burned down last year. They did suffer damage. Last time I was there we were paying $15 for a sandwich and $45 for a pie.

Nashville costs less.

I was there before Thanksgiving. Haven't been there for almost 10 years. It was a nice drive over from Bloomington. I forgot how small Nashville is compared to some of the mountain towns in Colorado like Breckenridge.

I made a vow back in 1995/1996 when I moved to Colorado is that if I moved back to Indiana, I would go down and live in Bloomington or Brown County area.
