how do they know they were monitored domestically? maybe its a setup, they used call forwarding from a call overseas back into the US.

Ever since the bozo's in the lamestream press told everybody OBL uses a sat. phone, the job of catching him is 10 times harder, and Leahy rips Gonzalez and the Bush White House that OBL is still "at large".

that's true about OBLs sat phone.

to be honest, thinking about this and seeing the USA Today headline today, I am thinking that the Times and the Dems have accomplished one part of what they wanted to with this story. the story hasn't damaged Bush, but it has made the NSAs job harder. the attention to this story, the hearings - there are probably alot of dumb-ass jihadis inside the US who now know not to pick up a phone and call Pakistan. and who knows what kind of tips we could have gotten from monitoring those calls.

the political angle aside, the enemy has been helped by this story being leaked and dragged across the front page of the newspapers and the nightly news.
