Good Monday morning, once again, fellow political jinkies. The NFL season may be over, but the political season inside the Beltway is 24/7/365. So join us, if you can, as those wacky Dems on the Senate Judiciary committee reprise their pitiful efforts to once again smear President Bush and score political points..

Gonzales: There is wild speculation that the president is authorized for this or that. I'm not going to get into a discussion...
Leahy interrupts.

Leahy: Does the law let the president authorize the opening of USA mail?
Gonzales: I'm not here to talk about that.

Leahy wants all the details about how the "wiretapping" is done. What a moron.

Ahhh 10 minutes of Hatch, now some reasonable questions.

I am becoming suspicious that this loud soandso is afraid that HE might be monitored. He does have a pattern of past leakings.

Leahy wants all the details about how the "wiretapping" is done. What a moron. He's trying to get Gonzales to say something they are not doing and the President didn't authorize

Leahy had to resign a committee chairmanship after it was discovered he leaked info to the press.
He shouldn't even be a senator anymore, much less in a role of questioning the US AG as to a topic like this!

I just finished reading Miller and Molesky's book "Our Oldest Enemy, a history of America's Disatrous Relationship with France." and what struck me is that it appears that the dims get all of their foreign policy advice directly from the French. (though the authors never stated this.)
Leaky seems to prove that point right out of the box. This is hearing is going to make some pretty good campaign commercials this year, IMHO.
To: Pukin Dog
LOL.
Hatch: Congress talks about being co-equal to the president...
It's my understanding that virtually all of the federal courts of appeal that have addressed this issue, have affirmed the president's inherent constitutional authority to collect foreign intel without a warrant.
Gonzales: That's true.

And now a word from our REAL Sponsors of Free Speech
The Men and Women who serve,
and have served, our country
are the ones who make sure that
the Politicans and Judges are free to do their job.
We would not have a US Supreme Court
without the protection of the Military.
Politicans and Judges are safe
because of the Military who protect them.
TEST : Call your Senator or Congressman's office
AFTER 5 PM, or on the weekend.
IF you speak to an actual person, ask who's in charge today?
Now look up the phone number
of your local military base.
Call that number 24/7
and ask the live voice you get
to speak with the person in charge.
Send a Thank You while you enjoy your Freedom also.

Leaky Leahy just did it again. This will probably be the media headline. Bush will be asked about opening the mail of America citizens. Un-effin-believable.

This is fabulous television! It fully exposes the Democrats on the committee as much more protective of our enemies' rights, than they are protective of our country against attack.
