Good Monday morning, once again, fellow political jinkies. The NFL season may be over, but the political season inside the Beltway is 24/7/365. So join us, if you can, as those wacky Dems on the Senate Judiciary committee reprise their pitiful efforts to once again smear President Bush and score political points..
ROFL!
Durbin has been saying that for weeks....but, we know that he can make that statement...but, that the dems would vote it down..
LOL!
FOFL!
And this GUY thinks he is a serious contender to be the Chief Executive......
He isn't the only one with a suspended account that still posts here.
One of the reasons why the NSA program is not subsidiary to the FISA act is so that NO ONE knows who has been surveilled. That is why the person in today's audience who asked NSA if his overseas phonecall had been intercepted received back from them a "neither confirm nor deny" answer.
Patterns of surveillance could be determined by any notification of individuals from this NSA program.
Of course not but I think you missed my point. My point was that people ARE paying attention, if we're to believe the polls.
You like pick up lines...are any of these any good?
If he was, he wouldn't be for long.
He would be replaced by Alman Zawahiri!
Believe me, Specter is not to be trusted.
Think. Think.
I figured it out, and I'm no sleuth.

According to those officials and others, reservations about aspects of the program have also been expressed by Senator John D. Rockefeller IV, the West Virginia Democrat who is the vice chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, and a judge presiding over a secret court that oversees intelligence matters. Some of the questions about the agency's new powers led the administration to temporarily suspend the operation last year and impose more restrictions, the officials said.
Feingold asking if the president has taken any other actions that wouldn't be permitted by the FISA statute.
Gonzalez wisely says he wants to be careful in answering, won't give away national secrets. AG says he'll get back to him with his answer.
This is EXACTLY what MSM is focusing on right now! His refusal to answer and uh oh, Is this an admission that there IS domestic spying on Americans going on? Nothing else said today matters.
Snort. The committee version of when-did-you-stop-beating-your-wife.
Good gad. Bet AQ's just lovin' this...
Disagree.
He is neither on the side of the Democrats nor administration's. Specter's sole interest is in strengthening the Congressional Branches power, and as a result, his own as Judiciary Chairman.
For those that are anti-Specter, they need to understand there is nothing to gain for Specter in bringing Republicans other than good press in MSM organs. This is an election year. If he led a fight against a "Republican" administration, that wouldn't be helpful to Republicans keeping their majority in the Senate. Without a Majority, Specter becomes the MINORITY figure on his committee. Anyone think that is a position he relishes? No.
Similiarly, he has no love for the administration even though that administration is why he has his current seat. The ONLY thing Specter has dreamed about for years, is becoming Judiciary Chairman. Nothing else matters to him. Now that he has made his goal, he resents anyone taking his power, perceived to take his power, or any challenge to his authority. Specter is not looking through the lens of the legalities involved here, though he comforts himself as doing so. He looks through the lens of approachment on his supreme power as Chairman. he's jealous of anyone, or any other branch, that would threaten his power. It doesn't matter if it's this admin, wouldn't matter if it were a Dem admin, wouldn't matter if were the Judiciary. Remember, many of the questions Specter asked concerned Judicial overreach into the CONGRESSIONAL branch during Roberts and alito's hearings.
At least in Specter's case, however, this struggle for control dates back centuries. He's no worse, and no better, than those that came before him in this neverending struggle.
The Dems linking their future to Al Quida as a Party? While there have been flirtations with the communists before, they weren't in entire agreement there. Those loyal to the English Empire, but not total in respects there as well, and infected both sides to differing degrees. I'd state only the civil war split trumps what the Democrats are engaged in here, except I don't believe the Confederates would have joined with the Nazi's, Commies or Islamic terrorists to win.
Who else...care to name a few?
I can tell you, Specter jumps in bed with Democrats on this committee.
"Is it true that Lindsey is homosexual?"
What the hell difference does it make? If he is a wimp on terrorism, he's a wimp, even if he likes women more than anyone on this board. If he is strong on fighting Islamofacists, who cares if he is attracted to men (at least for purposes of this thread).
I think he's "self suspended" ;>)
