Good Monday morning, once again, fellow political jinkies. The NFL season may be over, but the political season inside the Beltway is 24/7/365. So join us, if you can, as those wacky Dems on the Senate Judiciary committee reprise their pitiful efforts to once again smear President Bush and score political points..

It's stunning how often the senators quote the NYT and others as solid information.

The law says "any and all actions". The president does not have to be an expert on the law to understand "any and all actions". That language has to meet resistance somewhere. Otherwise it'd be "bye-bye 2nd and 4th amendments."

"He's quoting Newsweek!"
Told ya'll that Newsweek was setting up the next sucker punch. (rolling eyes)

Schumer: You're not going to have different rules for yourself than these other witnesses.
Gonzales: The client is the president of the United States. It's not my job to give my opinion to you, a Senator, on behalf of my client. LOL

they talk so long - I forgot what they started to say in the first place. I would love to say after they do some stupid ten minute speech -- "Now, I'm sorry Senator, but what was the question?? would you repeat it?
To: StarFan
What would happen if Gonzalez just sat there and didn't say a word when Schumer won't let him talk anyway.

To: penelopesire
Evidently Schumer doesn't have any questions FOR Gonzales about the spying; he is just lining up witnesses..........LOL.

Specter gives Schumer 2 more minutes for his interruption.
If this was a courtroom, I'd move to strike all your questions because the record was so much more clear before you asked them. LOLOL
