Thanks for your honesty. A couple of those "patty cake" calls that went against Seattle were killers.
We still may not have won, but the momentum they sapped was probably the difference.
While I'm happy for the Bus and Cowher getting their trophy, I must agree that the officiating was horrible. The phantom pass interference call on Darrell Jackson was a travesty, as well as the bogus holding call that negated a first and goal at the one.
Grats to Pitt, they deserved it...JFK
Sad to say, but yes it was - total bunk!
WTF!?! Ripoff from Risky Business.
(Listens to Boston's "More than a feeling.")
I'm looking at a team that outgained its opponent 396-339, had 20 first downs to 14 for their opponents and held the ball for 33 minutes. I don't think Seattle played badly at all.
I still wanted the Seahawks to win it...
Agreed. Every time Gregoire was behind there was a magical supply of votes found to change it...like 8 times!
You have my sympathy. The deteriorating quality of the officiating over the past decade, as well as the nagging suspicion I have that there are other things besides play determining the outcome of these games, for me has taken most of the joy out of watching pro football.
The others you are simply wrong about. Steelers won the game cause the Hawks didn't finish at the end of the first half.
I really didn't have a dawg in the fight.....had your Hawks made the plays they would have won. Sorry....that's the truth, Hawks didn't finish.
Period.
Um have you forgotten the beloved Peyton Manning? Since Brady wasn't playing tonight, not a single mention of "how Peyton would have dont it, " from the announcers.
Tradition?
Yeah, rusted out old steel mills and angry union losers in a polluted once important city....
Anyone fool enough to live in a wasted out old shell of a city like that deserves it.
I bet the mullet looks good in the back though.
Congratulations Mike! I hope you were able to wager a few sheckels on the outcome you predicted.
In football, every call counts and every inch counts. Bad reffing can do a lot of damage.
I think im done. over 25 years of football and I think thats the last game im going to watch. It has no point, the winner is picked before the coin toss.
I will hold this particular grudge forever! Biggest Cowboy fan in the world...til the trash from Arkansas took over. I'm not popular with my family during football season...but I just can't help it...sigh.
I wasn't for either team tonight....but hubby won a football pool...so, YEA STEELERS!
Budweiser gets the Rte66 Trophy! Fair & square.
