Even if the most offensive becomes censored who will play that role in our society.

I am still ill over the Rumsfeld/quad amputee cartoon - but once we begin to sort out which can be published and which cannot, we are doing a disservice to our freedom of speech no?

Freedoms require responsibility, however we seem to be lacking in that concept these days. Still, I'll take insult over censorship and be my own guide as to what I will absorb and what I will ignore.

Here's the difference.

It is freedom of speech to say something shouldn't be published. The Post can then decide whether to apologize or not.

But the Muslims want the cartoonist prosecuted. And prefereably stoned to death as well.

Key difference.
