The model was 1897:) Model 97. They were a great shotgun and were used into WWII:)
no, the .45 is not the best fight stopper, at least, not with ball ammo. In fact, that load is well proven to be pretty poor at the job. the flying ashtray is not the 230 gr, 850 fps jhp, jacketed hollowpoint, either. It is the CCI -Speer 200gr, 1000 fps load.
