I've had only one strong encounter with scientology, in the persons of two young friends, both young women. They gave me guided tours of the local "church" and more secret facilities. (I found it ridiculous :-) ). This was thirty years ago.

One of the young women eventually escaped. The one who did not was surnamed Cranford. Makes you wonder, doesn't it?

scientology broadcasts on the public access station. All they do in a session called auditing is make you tell them everything about yourself, they keep a file on you and then who knows what happens after that?

They know your every secret after auditing. The scientologists are against psychiatry because it's counter to what they do. Remember Tom Cruise telling Matt Lauer what an ignorant fool he was (maybe true) but so is Cruise.
