I was reading in the Feb. 6 - March 4, 2006 National Catholic Register an article credited to North Country Gazette, Feb 13, which tells how David Ridenour, attorney for hospice where Terri resided, that Ridenour facilitated Michael and Jodie's marriage.

Ridenour was a member of the marriage tribunal in the Diocese of St. Petersburg, thereby defying canon law which prohibits marriage if a person causes death of his/her spouse.

This comes from the Boston Globe...

The emphasis in the press and the response of the governor has been to focus on the removal of Haleigh Poutre's life support rather than on what led to the tragedy.

DSS doesn't need a shift, it needs a thorough review

I have another canonical question. Is Jodie committing "assisted suicide" by marrying a wife-murderer?
