True, and true. But they are NOT in the business of ending misery! Note it well, world. If they did that, they'd be out of business and have to give back all that power and all those tax dollars. It never enters their mind to solve problems!
What they do, rather, is build in a misery test. You have to BE miserable -- and prove it -- to get the handouts. If you have too much money, they won't give you any and that makes you miserable again. If you don't have enough, they'll give you some, but just a little so you'll remain miserable.
Few escape the dependency trap. But unless they do, they cannot find that serenity in life that comes with pulling your own load, paying your own way, and not being beholden to anyone.
There is an interesting thread on the sidebar, dealing with child support. The government has designed a system to enslave everyone. It's hard to avoid manufactured misery these days.
I'm in a Catch 22. My ex made things so miserable that I had a couple of mild strokes. I have no health insurance, so I applied for SSDI. That can take a couple of years. My medication costs 107.00 a month, but we moved, and rent isn't cheap. I need to be able to see a doctor to work. I'm thinking about checking out Canadian pharmacies, but I heard you can get in trouble for ordering meds online.
Politicians, for the most part, are addicted to pork. Many also have an agenda that they are pushing. Total control over people's lives for one thing. Things sure did get messed up, didn't they?
