This is the third day I cannot find a single story on Haleigh, hope it means she is off to a good start, but knowing the death ghouls, they never rest nor miss an opportunity, like to act in the shadows. I worry for Haleigh.

Meanwhile, another group is airing its topic of joys of bioethicking. One would almost suppose they are trying to implant new words into our vocabulary right out of George Orwell, to make the old concepts sound cuddly. Advance Directives sound so benign. PVS sounds so nice, as we notice, PVS cases could almost be consumed like vegetables, as we showed one vegetarian abortionist dining on his products.

They say, "No news is good news" and "Bad news travels fast." Let us hope so for Haleigh's sake. But I worry too. Perhaps we could get in touch with the birth mother's lawyer to try to get some information. I know there's a gag order on Haleigh's condition, but we ought at least to be able to find out if she is alive.

From your third link:

Sarah died in April. At first, Downs told police that the drowning had been an accident, and blamed her 5-year-old daughter. Downs later confessed to holding Sarah face down in the water as she bathed her. She said there was too much going on in her house and she just couldn’t take it anymore.

Why is it that people can understand how wrong it was for this mom to take her child's life, but cannot see that Michael was doing the same with Terri? Of course, Michael wouldn't confess to doing this, but it was obvious. Convicted killers on death row proclaim their innocence, even when there is a plethora of evidence (including DNA) to link them to the crime. Michael is no different. He just had a really good lawyer.

We have to continue to pray for Haleigh's safety and recovery. I'm starting to get a little concerned about lack of news, myself.

Thanks for the links. It is sad that someone is trying to make a buck off of Terri, but I'm not surprised. That is the kind of world we live in. Can this PAC be shut down?

Another nut kills her kid. The article didn't mention a husband or father. I can testify to the feeling of being overwhelmed, but thankfully I have enough self control not to harm my child. I hope she has to serve the whole 27 years.

Boston University's Schiavo conference

Boston University will present Judge "Killer" Greer with an award on March 31, 2006, the one year anniversary of Terri's execution.

U.S. Rep. Barney Frank will keynote the conference

Barney Frank will be joined by two others who played pivotal roles in the case:

Trial court Judge George Greer, who will be awarded the Pike Prize at the conference,

and the nation's leading expert on permanent vegetative states, Dr. Ronald Cranford of the University of Minnesota, who examined Terri Schiavo for the trial court and whose diagnosis of her is considered definitive.
