I was thinking the same thing when Obama was talking...
All he wants to do is pay more money to people that pay NO TAXES at all...IOW..people with money GIVE money to people who don't.
NOW..I can't help but chuckle...because at the end of his speech, he said that the FED GOVT. should be as "generous" as the American people were in giving to the charities after Katrina...
WHO does Obama thing the FED GOVT is??? hmmmmmmmm???
ALSO...I have heard story after story about how businesses in NO are having to close early...because they have no employees....and yet Obama wants us to GIVE more money to businesses...who would have no employees???
Also...he mentioned that FEMA was going to STOP paying for shelter...not true...FEMA is going to stop DIRECT payment to hotels and motels where the people are living...not to them.
OBAMA is truly a socialism guy, folks...and the MSM will try to frame him as a moderate that can work with both sides...
BOTH sides if you count only the squishy Rinos, maybe.

I watched a few minutes of this morning's hearing about Katrina.
I am soliciting opinions about these hearings....I heard Lieberman EXCLAIMING over and over today how SHOCKED he is about the "waste and fraud" in the aftermath of Katrina...
BUT, I don't know if anyone has brought up the waste and fraud that CAUSED a big part of the levees that broke, which in turn caused a majority of the damage and death.
NOW...this fraud happened decades ago up to the present...and the CONGRESS was aware of the funding and problems making sure that the funding was going to where it was necessary to go to...so, my question is this???
Why isn't there a panel asking CONGRESS why they fell down on THEIR jobs...in forcing NEW ORLEANS to reinforce those levees with the money that WE the PEOPLE have given them???
Also, do you think that there will be a chance that voters will be on "hearing and investigation overload"...by the time the 2006 and 2008 elections roll around...and that voters might be so sick of the dems and their calling for hearing after hearing about EVERYTHING that has happened, since Bush was elected in 2000, will come back to hurt them??
