It is worth noting that by the time Bush left as governor of Texas, the Texas Democrat Party had become just as disfunctional as the national Democrat Party. GWB will, I believe, be successful in peeling off just enough Democrat support to get some of his initiaves passed. Mark my word. Senate Dems up for reelection are scared and will give fall in behind him.
