Check out her t-shirt in #2 photo

Anti-war protester Cindy Sheehan is escorted out of the spectators' gallery of the House of Representatives prior to the State of the Union Address by US President George W. Bush on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC. Sheehan was attending the president's speech as a guest of US Representative Lynn Woolsey, a Democrat who has been an outspoken opponent of the war in Iraq(AFP/Mandel Ngan)

Bring it on, Cindy! ROFLMAO!!!! I tell ya, we were hootin' and hollerin' when we heard she had been hauled off. I can't imagine that someone actually invited her to attend in the first place. Makes me cringe to think that someone as crazy as that person was allowed to be anywhere near President Bush. I can't remember the name of the Rep. who invited her to attend, but I'm sure we'll hear more about her soon.

I am not so sure that the Kennedy mystique has not been truly damaged this year. He has been running for cover which is unusual for him. If there were a decent challenger he would gave a tougher than usual race. Old Kennedy is looking really old and sounds so demented he is a joke. Maybe the voters in Mass are sick of the ridicule they take for him being their Senator. One can only hope.

Over 5,000 posts. Wow. Good speech. Did anybody catch Weasly Clark on H&C after? Made me mad as a hornet. He HAD to bring up the accusation that some of our guys terrorized women and children in Iraq. He KNOWS it's true, because a soldier told him so. I guess we can take THAT to the bank.... Then he says how much he LOVES the military, but ignores the wonderful things they do every day in that hell hole. That's the mindset of today's Democrat. That's why I'm not a Democrat any more.

U. S. Representative Lynn Woolsey needs to be run out of public office! How dare she bring an obviously demented person with an axe to grind, and whom I would seriously consider an enemy of the President, to the State of the Union Adress by the President of the United States! I'm madder than hell about this! I believe in free speech, but I also believe even more fiercely in the security of our President and the United States of America!

Sheehan, who had been invited to attend the speech by Rep. Lynn Woolsey, D-Calif., was charged with demonstrating in the Capitol building, a misdemeanor, said Capitol Police Sgt. Kimberly Schneider. Sheehan was taken in handcuffs to police headquarters a few blocks away and her case was processed as Bush spoke.

Schneider said Sheehan had worn a T-shirt with an anti-war slogan to the speech and covered it up until she took her seat. Police warned her that such displays were not allowed, but she did not respond, the spokeswoman said.

Police handcuffed Sheehan and removed her from the gallery before Bush arrived. Sheehan was to be released on her own recognizance, Schneider said.

Sheehan’s appearance in our nation’s capital was a public forum, which was held at the Bus Boys and Poets Bookstore, at 14th and V Streets, NW, on Monday, Jan. 30, 2006. The event sponsored by a number of local, and national, progressives groups, like “Democracy Rising,” “ImpeachPAC,” “Backbone Campaign,” and “Censure Bush,” dealt with the “I” word - the impeachment of Bush and his vice-president-in-mayhem, Dick Cheney, for committing “high crimes and misdemeanors.”

Sheehan said, “George Bush’s presidency is illegitimate! He was elected by the Supreme Court [in 2000]. And, even if we believe he won in 2004, (laughter from the audience), there were many [incidents of] election irregularities, voter manipulation, voter fraud and voter suppression. I suggest changing the discourse [for today’s agenda] from impeachment to eviction. He’s a tenant destroying our house, a squatter. And number two,” Sheehan continued, “when Bush abrogated to himself the [war-making] powers of the U.S. Congress to invade Iraq, I believe that was unconstitutional. (2) We also shouldn’t support any member of the Congress, who let their [war-making] responsibilities be abrogated by Bush.”

I believe her father and brother both had quite a lot of first-hand experience with their own personal "culture of corruption" in Baltimore..... so Nancy was raised in close proximity to Democrat corruption. No wonder she's such an expert.....
