I still proudly wear those battle scars. Miers was the worst possible choice. Alito was second on my list, and kudo's to the president on a great associate justice.

I have not forgotten, Stellar.

I do know that Alito is vastly better qualified, and certainly more transparent candidate. I think it all turned out perfectly.

But without evidence, I would never presume to know what kind of justice Miers would have made. We might have been horrified, or we may have been pleasantly surprised.

I am grateful we did not have to find out and am celebrating today.

So for your part in that entire debacle, thank you for holding feet to the fire.
