For the mere sake of fending off the hatred from their base, I wonder if the (D)s want 60 affirmative votes?

It makes the cloture failure easier to take ... but focuses heat on certain individual DEM Senators.

Landrieu -NO. So the vote is likely to be 58-42. Glad I didn't bet on the 60 over.

Voting is going quickly. Likely done by quarter after.
