Even if Roe is overturned, abortion in some form or another will remain legal in most states. For me, it's always been the principal of the thing, i.e., that Roe is a constitutional abomination, not that overturning it would stop most abortions. That's why I've always been amazed how strongly the Dems fight for Roe - it's as if they don't believe their own rhetoric that their position on abortion is the clear majority position. In my state, and many others, overturning Roe would make virtually no difference in abortion law, much as I hate to say it.

Not that the practice hasn't become an abomination what with it being a federal entitlement bestowed by nine unelected justices and no state oversight.

Doing that is much easier to pressure the congresspeople when they live down the street, instead of in DC.
