"Kerry didn't vote...." He probably slipped out of his chair and fell on the floor flailing his arms and crying.
Or he is on another covert operation in Cambodia.

I can't get into DU either. They haven't officially shut it down, but I guess too many people going there to laugh at their nonsense right now.

LOL!
The nay votes being 42 is really gonna tee off the lefties.........if the same number of people voted that way for cloture Frist would have had to call for a rule change
To: Pyro7480

How? All of the Justices in favor of it are still on the Court. That hasn't changed. O'Connor wrote the dissent in that case.

And Senator Sessions is a great person to boot. My dad walks (and that's using that term loosely - more like strolls) here in Mobile and he loves when the Senate is out of session. The Senator runs in the same park most days but if he sees my dad, he always stops running and walks with him. Dad has known him since he was a brand new Assistant US Atty and says he's never changed. I'm sure proud of his work on the Judiciary Committee.

Even if Roe is overturned, abortion in some form or another will remain legal in most states. For me, it's always been the principal of the thing, i.e., that Roe is a constitutional abomination, not that overturning it would stop most abortions. That's why I've always been amazed how strongly the Dems fight for Roe - it's as if they don't believe their own rhetoric that their position on abortion is the clear majority position. In my state, and many others, overturning Roe would make virtually no difference in abortion law, much as I hate to say it.
