"veteran war correspondent Peter Arnett" >>>> Can we sorten that to just plain--- LIAR?
They said that Woodruff was a "big star" and it was news. I also watched the Abrams report on MSNBC and he dealt with this question as well. He was more honest about it.
He told the audience the question "was a very fair one, and you may not like the answer." The answer was that because he was a "media star" the MSM covered his being wounded with the same amount of saturation coverage they give to big stories that affect the entire nation. OK, I can live with his honesty at least.
Only FOX News was more candid, saying that Woodruff is relatively unknown to most of the public. He has only recently filled Peter Jennings anchor position, and moreover, who watches TV network news anymore?
My reaction, and the reaction of scores of people I work with and know, was the same: "Who the heck is Bob Woodruff?"
Prayers to Woodruff's recovery, as well as to our soldiers who are wounded every week, and get almost no attention other than to be used as a statistic for what a failure they are in Iraq.
Is there no mercy, have you no compassion?
On the topic, however, these left wing lackeys only care about ratings, and their own butts.
They signed up for this imbedded reporter deal, and if they didn't know the risks then, they should have kept their a$$es in the house.
And off-topic a bit, but still talking Iraq and wounded, did anyone hear Rush talking about the report that new advances in battlefield medical technology were concealing the "true toll" of the war?
Guys that would have died from the same injuries 20 years ago, are now surviving and some dofus wrote it up like it was a bad thing.
The left wing media will twist anything to make themselves out to be superior to us ignorant peasants.
