You are doing really well here if you walk through downtown without being shot.
Marisol has either been bought by the Detroit chamber of commerce or is blinded by super bowl hype.
Reminds me of the Soviet Union's "Potemkin Village."
Ice sculptures? Oh boy. Can't wait.
Detroit for the Super Bowl? What a joke. The city is a mess and will remain so for years.
How far from metro Detriot is Pontiac?
Bring a dead relative and vote.
Seattle boasts about their "12th Man." Well there are going to be about that many Seattle fans in Ford Field this Sunday.

What a paradise! Gawd, just the thought of the panoramic view of the downtown area.
makes me all warm and fuzzy just thinking about it....
I'm hoping next year that Newark,NJ , Gary,In or maybe Marion,IL can get their bid in for the Super Bowl.......
wait a minute, I just forgot...Compton,CA would be just a great place with that big LA, San Diego, Oakland and SF markets just screaming for their time in the sun... I mean these are veritable showcases for the democratic party policies and the benefits of well run, caring, socially secure city governments.
I'd just like to get a "real" breakdown on the number of robberies, assaults, theft and murders to visitors during this NFL "showcase".
Maybe these fine planners will hold the Olympics in Somalia, Botswana or the slums of Delhi.
Hopefully it'll serve as a cautionary tale.
Naaah. We never learn.

I don't know about Motor City's hospitality, so this is a bit off-topic, but I once read a moving tribute to the hospitality of Notre Dame when BYU played there. ND and their fans were a shining example of hospitality and good sportsmanship.
The last time I visted Detroit, what I experienced could in no way be classified as 'hospitality.' I won't go back there again.
I'm enjoying all the updates from the Motor City.
