But about 40 percent of the voters, died in the wool Democrats, Dean is a huge hero.
In many respects Dean is like McGovern in 1971. McGovern scared the heck out of about 60 percent of the voters, but he was a huge hero to about 38 percent of those on the left.
Dean got the job of heading the DNC because State Democratic party officials love him and think he is wonderful for the Democratic party. The Clintons who knew what a disaster he would be, did not have the votes to stop him.
There have been at least two party appearances by Hillary Clinton in the past few weeks where she was heckled and booed by leftist Democrats.
The Democratic party is splitting apart and it is very likely that the far left part will select the 2008 presidential nominee. It may not be Dean but it will be someone who is just as outspoken and who shares his views.
From your lips (keyboard?) to 38% of the populace's ears.
Do you mean "dyed in the wool"? Or is that some sort of Fruedian slip? ;-)
I have to throw in here that Murtha was one of the lead players in getting Dean the job.
The dems obviously thought that committing suicide would win them sympathy votes.
When he was running for DNC chair, Dean promised to bump up financial support for the states, full time staff, funds, etc. It appears however that he hasn't been the Uber fundraiser he was touted to be, so I wonder just how the organizational base views him now. He seems to be disconnected from the politicians who actually have to run for something.
But about 40 percent of the voters, died in the wool Democrats, Dean is a huge hero - he may be a hero put they are not donating to the DNC and that is the babys milk of politics; if the Dems dump him it will be over money
