Very true. The teams over there have a better survival rate than trauma centers at home. Every War brings about changes in trauma treatment that improve survival rates.
That's an interesting thing I'd never thought of. I guess that necessity is the mother of invention, and there is never greater necessity for trauma treatment than in war.

Ten years ago, the fatal casualty rates were much higher. I do not remember the exact percentage. The American media did report on how the forward deployment of trauma centers has increased survival rates significantly. We do have more survival now, than in ANY war. Ever.
