Bob Woodward and photographer injured in IED attack.
Woodruff was blown up by the "freedom fighters" lauded so much by ABC and their comrades in the moonbat media? Say it isn't so...
I used to think Margaret Carlson was Tucker Carlson's Mommy.
Today, I'm ashamed to be a FReeper. Thanks loads.

Subject: IED Attack
Bob Woodruff and his cameraman, Doug Vogt, were injured in an IED attack near Taji, Iraq today. They were embedded with the 4th Infantry Division, traveling with an Iraqi Army unit in an Iraqi mechanized vehicle. Bob and Doug are in serious condition and are being treated at a U.S. military hospital in Iraq. At this point, we don't know much more than this. We'll keep you posted as we learn more. I know that all of us will keep Bob, Doug, and their families in our thoughts and prayers."

Terrible news. I hope he makes a full recovery.
Funny how the article you posted doesn't mention any soldiers getting injured. There are now a few MORE details, also from the Associated Press:Could they all be so lucky?
Prayers.
...The two journalists were traveling with U.S. and Iraqi troops near Taji, about 12 miles north of Baghdad, when an improvised explosive device went off, ABC News President David Westin said. Both suffered serious injuries and were taken into surgery at a U.S. military hospital in the area, the network said. Both Woodruff and cameraman Doug Vogt were wearing body armor and helmets, the network said. The two had embedded with the 4th Infantry Division and traveling with an Iraqi Army unit.
The U.S. military headquarters in Baghdad confirmed that the ABC News team was involved in an attack but declined to provide further details to The Associated Press. An official military statement was expected to be issued later Sunday...
Nah,....remember George Stepahanopolis has a morning show today...Bush will be blamed before it is over...
Prayers for their recovery
you have to be kidding?????
Bingo.
Ironic...
The very media that accuses and derides the military on a daily basis, is beholden to and now dependent upon them to save their lives.
Where most "normal" people would take this situation as an opportunity to reflect back on their views and attitudes regarding the importance of the war against these murderous psychotics, I have no doubt that the liberal media will use it as further "evidence" of a "quagmire", supplying yet another bit of irony--- The terrorists' efforts to gain support from the Iraqi people have been so anemic and unsuccessful, that they are relegated to blowing up their biggest supporters, the media.
Maybe the MSM will start a daily "reporter" body count the same way they've done our troops without any honor or respect to their sacrifices?
Because we have human compassion and dignity. We even treat enemies that take up arms against us, as well as civilians.
"The roadside bombing occured in Taji, a volatile region about 12 miles northwest of Baghdad. The two men were in an armored U.S. humvee for a time, then they moved into an Iraqi mechanized vehicle.
They were in the lead vehicle of that convoy, apparently standing up in a hatch and filming a report, when a large IED exploded nearby. The explosion was followed by small arms fire. Both men were wearing body armor and ballistic glasses.
The two men were airlifted to Balad, a large U.S. airbase about 68 kilometers north of Baghdad. Woodruff was reportedly in surgery at 8:15am ET. Both men have head injuries."
...Bush will be blamed before it is over...
You're right!
