So, do you give your students an "A" for effort even when they fail? Even when they write about their own self-regard and attack the personality of the professor without answering the topic at hand constructively? When I was a college professor, I made my students learn the material.
I WASN'T attacking anyone. I was challenging them to consider their motives. I would think a conservative could see that for what it is: an attempt to HELP keep people [whom I care about] from going off the deep end.
