Wolf first made a name for herself with "The Beauty Myth," a 1991 feminist critique of feminine stereotypes. Admired by some and ridiculed by others, Wolf has since written on everything from motherhood to promiscuity. During the 2000 election campaign, she famously advised Al Gore to work on being an "alpha male," and her most recent book, a folksy memoir about her father, left many erstwhile fans clearing their throats in embarrassment.
Maybe that's what pushed Wolf toward Jesus. In an interview published last weekend in Scotland's Glasgow Sunday Herald, Wolf announced that she had been struggling with a midlife crisis a few years ago when she went into "a light meditative state." That's when it happened: "I was completely dumbfounded but I actually had this vision of of Jesus."
If that doesn't sound like the Naomi Wolf you love (or hate), Wolf agrees. "I wasn't myself in this visual experience. I was a 13-year-old boy sitting next to him [Jesus] and feeling feelings I'd never felt in my lifetime
. It was probably the most profound experience of my life."

I agree with you.
I agree. Her "testimony" doesn't pass the sniff test. I pray she actually picks up a Bible and gets the truth.
She says it is true, and I say it is true (if it ever happens) and my version would be a lie. I'm no celebrity, therefore, I'm just a rednecked idiot, because I'm not Whathername.
Yeah. The Jesus who tells us it's not our personal responsibility to take care of those who need help. It's our job to fork over the cash to the feds to do it for us.
I'm a tad skeptical. Finding a moral clarity doesn't occur overnight. I've been working on it for 40+ years and still have a ways to go.
I suspect this is just "tell the people what they want to hear" cuz the end justifies the means. (Course I'd be happy to be wrong.)
ahhh hahahahahahahaa
Can you imagine someone so vile that Jesus crosses the street when He sees them coming?
Why would a Jew need to waste time with a middle man. Stick with original Naomi.
Her vision may change her life but it doesn't mean she's going to accept the doctrines and disciplines of a church. Knowing about Naomi -- that's not very likely.
I wish her well, but is this the sort of thing one wants to go public about? By all means let it change one's life. Become a better person, to be sure. But tell reporters about it?
WOO HOO! The woman who is going to teach me how to be a man is now going to teach me about religion.
I have a few feminising tips for her...
THis could also be politics in action. I don't trust leftists.
For the time being, I will withhold judgment.
I wonder if that image is somehow significant to her. If she was raised Jewish it might signify her readiness to have a mature faith. Since 13 years of age is when Jewish Males have their Bar Mitzvah. Just guessing here so please do not remove the net.
My alltime favorite bumper sticker:
Not altogether theologically incorrect, either.
As someone who works in a homeless shelter run by ultra-liberals, I could tell you stories about the "charity" of these "hip, compassionate" sorts...but the internet's not big enough for em all.
---She thought it would be a better tactic to call abortion a human sacrifice necessary to preserve women's freedom than to lie and say the unborn are mere "cell clusters". ---
In other words, like most leftists, she is trying to me as in your face as possible in order to attract attention. For the rest of it, I suspect she's been eating shrooms.
I just hope she did not find the Jesus Jane Fonda found.
