Starwise put me onto this and she has more info than I.
It's for knocking out sinus infections, although I suppose it would help sinus headaches too.
The recommended procedure is to get a high-power motor juicer and pulverize the snickers out of horseradish root, then mix the pulverized root with lemon juice (I juiced the lemon, peel, seeds, everything) and take 1 t. three times a day.
I burned out the motor on my juicer (horseradish root is very tough), so Star suggested I mix horseradish from a jar, with lemon juice. It's working better than when I used to pulverize it. I should be taking it three times a day.
Thanks, I don't get sinus infections but I do get sinus headaches occasionally.
Something I've made is to blend together equal parts of horseradish root, ginger root, cayenne pepper, garlic, and onions. Put it all in a blender, cover with apple cider vinegar (the raw organic kind if you can get it), and blend. Keep it in the fridge and add it to soup, etc. It really helps to knock out the flu, cold, etc. It's a natural antibiotic, antiviral, and antifungal. Pretty potent stuff. :)
Wow!
Thanks for posting the horseradish/sinus infection remedy. I have lots of sinus problems, and try to avoid medications as much as humanly possible.
