"So it very well may just be a tradic event. But the police need to follow up on other possiblities. If they don`t , then they are not doing their job."

The parents are devastated with grief.

And you want the cops to come in and do the whole bad cop/good cop routine, accuse them of wrongdoing, shake the tree and see what falls out?

You are one absolutely heartless, sick person.

Not at all, I just recognize the reality that there are sick people in this world who will do anything to cover up what they have done.

Is it not possible that someone in the family strangled the girl and made this whole dog story up?

If you say no, you are very naive....

Looking for truth has nothing to do with being heartless.

This could very well be a tragic event, and yes, the parents could be devastated, and rightly so.

But there is a dead child here, and the reason for her death must be verified. You verify the reason for this death by investigating and ruling out possibilities. The dog causing this event may be the case, but then again it may not. You have to verify it though.

This investigation absolutely must be done.

And don`t call me a heartless person for stating such a thing. You don`t have any idea of who I am, my history, or what I even do or have done for a living. Your remark was simply uncalled for.
