I remember when my daughter was small, I had heard about scarf accidents so I was very careful when she put on a scarf. This isn't the first time someone has been killed by a neck scarf sad to say. My mind fails me now, but it seems scarves getting caught in car doors, buses and stuff such as that have killed people.

In the dark portions of my mind that used to house a memory, I think I recall a very few cases in Japan where the train doors closed on a scarf or two with tragic consequence.

That happened in a Twilight Zone episode, but the guy bought a pair for scissors from a psychic who knew what you needed to buy the most.

You're right.

Most famous scarf death is probably Isadora Duncan.

I remember hearing that the actress who played Cindy Brady was killed when her scarf got caught in a bus door and she was dragged down the street.

That turned out to be just a rumor, but the one about Greg dating Mrs. Brady turned out to be true, as did the one about Mr. Brady being gay as an 1890s Easter bonnet.

The young son of friends got his scarf tangled in a snowblower. Close call but happy ending, fortunately.
