McCain's 'straight talk' this morning on the Today Show consisted of multiple 'I don't know(s).' But he did call for hearings....
Appearing on NBC's "Today" show, the Arizona Republican said that "no one wants us not to be able to eavesdrop on a conversation, listen in on a conversation between an al-Qaida operative and anyone else that could be a threat to the United States."
Asked if he thought Bush had broken the law, McCain replied, "I don't know. I want to be perfectly clear. I don't know the answer. That's why I welcome the hearings."
