Kind of like the "debt clock."
Disgusting.
The Republicans could just put up a running total of human beings killed by Islamic terrorism.
Just another confirmation of their "culture of death" mentality.
Or abortion.
They haven't invented something that can count that fast.
I'd like to see a sign to honor honesty and integrity returning to the White House. Change the number each day to the total of days that GWB has been POTUS.
All the Republicans need to put in their window is the number of innocents that were murdered on 9/11.
Seems legit "political" use...
Aren't the Repubs saying we have lost "only" so many?
Or people killed because they were denied the right to self defense.
How do they honor our fallen heroes by just counting dead soldiers? Shouldn't they honor them by counting and listing their achievements? This is the argument we should hit them with. It's time to blow the cover off the "we support our soldiers" canard and challenge them on it.
I'd put up the number of people republican administrations have freed from tyranny.
The republicans ought to put a sign that counts the number of murders in DC and ask whether it is safer in DC or IRaq.
I'd say "free speech" allows them to display that number.
But I also say that "free speech" allows Republicans to post some more patriotic statistics:
Number of victims of al Qaeda in the US before passage of the Patriot Act: 3000
Number of victims of Al Qaeda in the US after passage of the Patriot Act: ZERO
Number of victims of Al Qaeda in the US before the liberation of Afghanistan and Iraq: 3000
Number of victims of Al Qaeda in the US after the liberation of Afghanistan and Iraq: ZERO
Number of American GIs who have died protecting US from more 9/11-type attacks: xxxx
Number of American civilian lives SAVED by those heroes: COUNTLESS!
Roughly 46,000,000 since Roe v. Wade.
I'll bet that they couldn't name a single one of them.
Good idea.
World War I (19171918)
Battle deaths 53,402
World War II (19401945)
Battle deaths 291,557
Korean War (19501953)
Battle deaths 33,741
Vietnam War (19641975)
Battle deaths 47,410

Did everyone see the LA TImes link on Drudge today about the columnist who DOESN'T support the troops? FINALLY, a liberal willing to tell the truth. I respect him. Maybe the anti-patriots in Bucks County had some guts they would tell us how they really feel.
These pepoles' sign is code for "look at all the americans you killed in the war Mr. President." How can they support the troops if they are against their mission?
The troops need their faux support like they need a car bomb at the front gate.
