Anyone with a TiVo or a DirecTV box is supplying viewership data as far as I know. Whether or not Nielsen uses this info is another matter.
Nielsen just introduced DVR (Tivo, etc) ratings to be included, while some DirectTV users have set meters in them.

Those of us with DirecTivos have the option of unplugging the phone cable since we get show data through the sattelite - stand alone Tivo users have to trust Tivo.
I have Direct TV and Tivo.
I never ever turn the reciever off, so I guess they figure I am watching whatever channel was up when I turned the TV off.
I go several days without watching Direct TV...so I hope they don't think I'm sitting there watching ;)
