It's not a majority, it's a plurality. Think of how X42 got elected. But don't think too hard, because when I do my head starts to hurt.

Actually, it would be the plurality.

A conservative majority would be preferable, because without it, it will be hard to get legislation through. But you get what you can get.

No. A majority is over 50%. So the biggest minority is just that, if it isn't over 50%.
