That last link shows Reno supporting giving FISA authority over black bag searches, and Gorelick supporting it with changes.

It looks like the ACLU got on Clintoons case bad over the warrantless search of Ames.

Gorelick appears to reserve the right to do whatever the President wants to anyway. Bush will be finished with his term before the legality of these wiretaps are ironed out.

Apparently the public is heavily on the Presidents side, and if we are attacked again as promised by OBL, the Dems will shut up about this instantly.

The sad truth is Democrats are not against the wiretaps, just againt Bush having the opportunity to do them. It's all politics, and the heck with the country.

The Gorelick case is interesting too since she was the one who proposed creating the wall of separation higher than it was before. That seems to be contradictory.
