Frankly, I don't buy it. Your posts are a little too savvy to belong to a newbie. Since posters are anonymous on FR, its impossible to be 100% sure. But after 7+ years around here, my gut tells me odds are, you're a retread. Your first post on 1-22-2006 was made to me. Instead of slowing entering into debate, you question my integrity on a position I've held for my entire life.

Btw, I never used the term, "in certain cases". You did. Don't put words in my mouth. If you can't differentiate someone favoring the death penalty for a terrorist and life in prison for a criminal, that's not my problem. Its your problem.

No comment Reagan Man? I think you see what I consider your contradiction. If you support the death penalty in certain cases, you support the death penalty; i.e. your pro-death penalty.

I agree with you that there are some cases where the death penalty is necessary. I think the death penalty is a judgment that should only be dealt where there is absolutely no doubt of the convicted person's guilt.

I don't know if you would agree with that, but that is how I feel.

Maybe amputee's limbs will grow back too.

I've known people that this very thing has happened to. It's called a miracle, and you do occasionally find them.

As for you accusing me of lying, I will simply ignore it as the drivel it truly is.

**I've known people that this very thing has happened to. It's called a miracle, and you do occasionally find them.**

I totally agree with your post. I've witnessed a person's recovery, from what the medical community called *brain dead/PVS, hopeless and etc. You're right. Miracles do happen and therapy does work.

I'm not casting stones here, but I can't help but wonder about her stand on abortion prior this atrocity.

Suzanne Vitadamo, Terri's younger sister

"Our society has shifted to a quality of life mentality and has lost sight of the value (and) sacredness of all human life," Vitadamo said. "We now as a nation are deciding when it is OK or not OK to kill those suffering from disabilities."

Vitadamo had harsh words for the courts that handled her sister's case, the mainstream media that covered it and even Catholic bishops in Schiavo's Florida diocese who she said "offered no help or spiritual support for Terri and my family."

Vitadamo said if those Catholic clerics had strenuously denounced what was happening to Schiavo "there would have been such an enormous outcry of support from parishioners in our diocese and from Catholics around the world that my sister could very well be alive today."

Ms. Vitadamo is indeed right. It started with Roe vs Wade. That piece of work should have been repealed the minute "Ms. Roe" recanted her testimony years ago.

Slippery slope has turned into a slalom run...

Always the apologist for the handing of the American Southwest back to Mexico, aren't you? What is your opinion of Suzanne Vitadamo's comments? That is what this thread is about.

You can't compare abortion and the Schiavo case. I'm sorry, but the Schiavos were delusional in thinking that their daughter could recover.

The Schiavo's knew she would not likely ever 'recover'. They thought she would be able to live out her days comfortably, until such time as God took her.

Terri was murdered by judicial order. She was starved and dehydrated to death by ORDER of a JUDGE and the wishes of HER ADULTEROUS LYING HUSBAND.

The BIRTH of human child is a special gift from God.

ABORTION is just another name for MURDER by JUDICIAL ORDER and the wishes of the MOTHER and/or FATHER.

Deciding to ABORT a fetus because you feel it won't have a GOOD LIFE is very dangerously close to ABORTING babies who are not PERFECT (because you are trying to create the perfect human race).

Admit it, ABORTION is simply MURDER for the convenience of the parent(s).

Terri's death was MURDER for the convenience of MICHAEL.

If I disconnect the brake line on your car and it causes an accident whereby you die, can I claim I did not murder you, I was only trying to reduce the pressure on your brake line?

His comment does have a place in this thread. The comparison goes to the root of the whole problem.

The LIFE of an individual has lost it's VALUE.

Terri was TERMINATED, and because she wasn't your sister or wife, you felt no pain.

Fetuses are terminated to the tune of 47,000,000 lost lives, but because it wasn't yours or mine, we felt no pain.

We are losing our moral values in this country, and that will be, or IS, what will cause the LOSS of our NATION.

His comment was RIGHT TO THE POINT, IMHO.

Yes, many pro choice people, such as Gloria Allred, supported Terri's parents and opposed Terri's killing. I would not, however, label Terri's parents, the Schindlers, as delusional. I suppose there is always a tiny bit of hope if it involves your own child.

Martin Katz stated it well in the The American Thinker:

". . . We, as a society . . . have not managed, for whatever reason, to permit a mother, deluded or not, to put water onto the lips of her dying child, brain dead or not. . . .

"We, as a people, have so shamed ourselves, that we cannot look March Schindler, Terri Schiavo's mother, in the eye, and give her one good reason why WE did not allow her to give water to her dying child. How we came to this shameful point in our national existence is a question that demands examination and rectification. For our sake.

"For Mary Schindler, and her severely impaired child . . . it is too late. We did not find it in our collective hearts and souls, in our actions, to have mercy on them."

I was reading your post, trying to understand your position.

Then, I saw you were swallowing the lies of the MSM, about Terri's wishes.

Apparently, you haven't gotten through the "fool me once, shame on you...." part of the MSM.

Nor did you bother to find out what anyone else but Michael testified to.

She had NO BRAIN. No brain = no life, no conciousness.

So, we can kill anyone we determine has no BRAIN????? (before determining by autopsy it is true).

No, it does not have a place in this thread.

The guy is a disruptor who constantly tries to turn every thread into a bash Bush, immigration rant.

He should have been banned for his constant hijack attempts and flaming in multiple threads.

As to Terri's wishes, there is no evidence that she would have wanted to die - and anyone who says she would have wanted to die is spreading misinformation.

Michael has contradicted himself on the topic, at one point on Larry King(?) stating that he has no idea what she wanted. Michael did not recall her wish to die until well after he won a lawsuit to rehabilitate her.

How many people would choose this horrific death that Judge Greer ordered for her?

You have no clue about what I stand for as you don't ever care to read it. You just read what other morons say and take it as gospel. If you have ever bothered to read what I said, you'd know what you're spewing is nothing but crap.

The person you're defending is nothing but a disruptor who is here to try and incite crap on the forum. (If the mods bothered to check his IP address they'd find he has been banned before.) Of course, since you and your ilk do the same on a daily basis, you've adopted him as your newest buddy.

Anti-Roe rally touches on Terri Schiavo case

Excerpts

The Terri Schiavo case is appropriate to discuss on the Roe v. Wade anniversary because it too is a right-to-life issue.

“Our issues are abortion, infanticide and assisted suicide,” Rose Mimms said. “We go from the moment of conception to the very end of life.”

Many details surrounding her sister’s life and death have been misconstrued, Suzanne Vitadamo said, adding that Schiavo did not suffer from bulimia and did not have a heart attack. But Schiavo’s death, although painful, taught Vitadamo important life lessons, she said.

“She taught me to appreciate every day on this earth,” Vitadamo said. “She taught me where there is life, there is hope.”

From Pro-Life Blogs on the March for Life

Bobby Schindler, Terri Schindler-Schiavo's brother spoke at 1 pm. Very brief comments by the family friend, Brother Paul O'Donnell: "Last year Terri was murdered, yes, murdered, before our eyes. Please welcome and honor the brother and sister of Terri Schiavo..." Bobby Schindler:

Bobby: "I want to thank the Right to Life movement here and abroad. We lost Terri, but this doesn't mean that God did not hear our prayers. We've established The Terri Schindller Schiavo Foundation to help others avoid Terri's fate. The website is www.terrisfight.org. Thank you for your prayers and support."
