Thank you SO MUCH! I think the troops will enjoy "Desperate Crossing" - They will be able to relate to the struggles, dangers and fortitude of people who didn't shrink, even after many dangers, persecutions and years, in completing their mission to obtain freedom.
I’m also sending Gettysburg because of what Colonel Chamberlain endured and accomplished (won the Medal of Honor) as a result of not giving up.
The same message is in the book 1776 by David McCullough.
We try to get that book to all our adopted units.
