CNN has hired former Oklahoma congressman J.C. Watts Jr. to provide political commentary.
Watts, a Republican, was elected in 1994 to Congress. He served 4 terms.
CNNs president Jon Klein: "J.C. is one of the most respected and effective conservative communicators in the nation's capital."
Ping...
Will blacks call him a CNN house slave ?
A tragic choice...the Clinton News Network. I am shocked. Well, let's hope he maintains his conservative sanity...and does not defect to liberalism for a huge paycheck.
You gotta be kiddin' me! JC on CNN?????? They must be paying him well.
Maybe even CNN realizes they need to present the other side to compete with Fox!
Dunno why FoxNews didn't snag him instead of that fossil Novak.
I predict he won't last long there.
Maybe even CNN realizes they need to present the other side to compete with Fox!

You may have hit on it! CNN ratings are in the tank -- and still sinking. The FOX business model is a winner so far, and commands an impressive lead in ratings and viewership. It kind of reminds me of the TV program "AMERICAN IDOL"...the program model is sooooo sucsessful, that many others are copying -- maybe some logic and sanity sunk in to the heads of the board of directors of CNN...just maybe :-)
Traitor!
I like JC and I'm glad to see CNN try to present a more balanced picture of the news.
Did he start yet?
Personally, I like the thought of FOX have actual competition for balanced news.
I'm ever hopeful too.
According to the San Francisco Comical this morning, Watts and Glenn Beck's new positions at CNN are all the inner dealings with Roger Ailes at Fox. Or, at the very least, the bozos at CNN are so frightened of Fox, they are trying to emulate them.
This, of course, was followed by the standard 5 boilerplate paragraphs that every Comical story mentioning conservatives has to have (hates women, called the "Wisteria Lane" 9/11 widows greedy, laughed at the victims of Katrina, the usual drivel).
First Glenn Beck, now JCW? What's going on at CNN? Has FOXNews finally knocked some sense into them? Do they finally see that "Fair-and-Balanced" actually works?
Only time will tell...
Here's one news junkie who is glad CNN is starting to move in the right direction (even though it still leans left).
Rush Limbaugh & Daryn Kagan Romance Buzz Dies Down
Coincidence?
It would be a hoot to see CNN become the conservative network. I'm going to check out Beck's show.
Better watch out, they'll call you a racist and put you in time out.
As long as he sticks by his conservative views, more power to him.
