I have met and spent some time with Jorma Kaukenan and Jack Casady from Jefferson Airplane (well, I met them in the late 1990s, not during the 60s).
They are far from leftists. Jorma is a gun nut and raises his American flag every day. He also is a bit of a history buff and can usually tell you what happened in American history on whatever day it happens to be.
Listen to his CD "Land of Heroes" and you will see how far from a leftist freak he is. He's actually one of the nicest people you will ever meet.
I'll give "Land Of Heroes" a try,and am glad to learn that they're not all loopy leftists. I still can't listen to that 60s psychedelic stuff,though,it's just too grating or something.
