Sounds like the right decision to me.
I think it is a positive for the 10th amendment aspects.
Looks like the liberal court is saying since we are losing our power our court should not have stake or issue here so it is the states rights.
Agree. I don't wish to stay alive if terminally ill. Quantity of life should never be allowed to trump quality of life.
I'm 61 years old and in good health, considering, so yes this could affect me in the next couple of decades. I certainly don't want some quack doctor deciding for me but as long as I'm in charge of my life, please leave some decisions to me and not the fricking government. Cradle to grave care doesn't excite me.
Jeez!
When the outcome of a judicial decision is that an innocent person will die, it is the wrong decision every single time.
"Sounds like the right decision to me."
Based on what I understand of it it is. They are saying it is up to congress to set a law barring states from doing this. The executive branch cannot unilaterally make a decision like this without the input of the congress. I don't think they are saying that assisted suicide cannot be banned. As someone who believes strongly in states rights, I think it should be up to congress and not to the executive branch to make law in this country.
