I do not believe any government local or federal has a right to legislate the taking of life.

Gods law is clear, Thou shalt not Kill. That does not come with a caveat, for suicide.

I agree, but as I noted above, I can't find any legitimate, Constitutional way for the federal government to step in.

Likewise, if the U.N. tried to interfere with a federal decision, I would not see it as legitimate.

Having scanned the opinion and Justice Thomas' dissent, I agree with Justice Thomas.

His position is basically that you can't on the one hand say that the federal government can ban the intrastate possession of marijuana (as they already did in Raich), and on the other hand say that the federal government cannot ban the prescription of lethal drugs, under the same law.

He's right, as usual.

The majority's reasoning is absurd.
